Vincent Cassel, 23 Kasım 1966 tarihinde, ünlü Fransız aktör Jean-Pierre Cassel'in oğlu olarak Paris, Fransa'da dünyaya gelmiştir. Fransız sinemasının ve uluslararası projelerin en tanınmış yüzlerinden biridir. Oyunculuk kariyerine 1990'ların başında başlayan Cassel, asıl çıkışını Mathieu Kassovitz'in yönettiği ve bir kült klasiği haline gelen "Protesto" (La Haine) (1995) filmiyle yaptı.
