Katherine "Kate" Burton, 10 Eylül 1957 tarihinde Cenevre, İsviçre'de dünyaya gelmiştir. Efsanevi Galli aktör Richard Burton ve yapımcı Sybil Williams'ın kızı olarak tiyatro ve sinema dünyasının tam kalbinde doğan Burton, aynı zamanda Elizabeth Taylor'ın üvey kızıdır.
