Holt Quinn McCallany, 3 Eylül 1963 tarihinde New York'ta, sanatla iç içe bir ailede dünyaya gelmiştir. Annesi, ünlü bir Amerikalı kabare sanatçısı ve aktris olan Julie Wilson, babası ise Tony Ödülü kazanmış bir İrlandalı tiyatro yapımcısı olan Michael McAloney'dir.
